Items for Prayer

Dear friends,

The camping season is beginning a full earnest now as staff prepare for the summer onslaught of students at all our camps:

  • Keats Camps, BC – Ryan Friesen, Executive Director
  • Zao Outdoor Ministries, BC – Mattias Morrison, Ministry Coordinator
  • Gull Lake Centre, AB – Steve Roadhouse, Executive Director
  • Mill Creek Baptist Camp, AB – Alyssa Cameron, Executive Director
  • Camp Wapiti, AB – Luke Potter, Director
  • The Quest at Christopher Lake, SK – Sean Cruickshank, Executive Director
  • Katepwa Lake Camp, SK – Jimmy Schimmel, Executive Director
  • Please pray for these folk as they prepare to lead children and staff into a close relationship with Christ or even indeed relationship with Christ for the first time.

Please pray for Rob Ogilvie and his wife Bonnie as they transition into this new role of Executive Minister beginning in July 1.

  • Give Rob safety of travel as he has a month of transition and orientation in June.

Please pray for Larry Schram and his wife Erna as they begin the transition leaving Summerland to prepare for their new role as Regional Minister of British Columbia and Yukon at the end of the summer.

Please pray for Kayely Rich who is our new president as she resides in Regina that she may be able to keep in full contact with this new CBWC board as it is established and grows together in discernment.

Please pray for those members of the board that are departing: Laura Nelson, Michael Hayes, Joshua Goetz, and Tim Kerber. Thank you.
Please also pray for those who are new members of the board. Thanks be to God for their willingness to serve.

Please pray for all the transitions for staff that are joined by new folks that are encouraging them and leading them. In the case of Rob and Larry that all those transitions may go smoothly.

Please pray for Dennis Stone as he is on sabbatical this summer.

As we give thanks for Bob Weber and his service to us he begins his new work in environmentally friendly and sound patterns for farming. Bless he and Faye in that new endeavor.

Please pray for me and my wife Kerry as we hike in Ireland and have a good thorough and sound rest as we prepare ourselves for a new season of life. Thank you so much, Lord. Thank you for your prayers as you read this letter… for the way in which we have really given ourselves enthusiastic permission to just wait on God for this new season for he above all knows our need.

Finally, we have experienced a serious shortfall in contributions in the last two months. We have some receivables that have not been paid for over six months. Also, we have numerous churches that are in transition. Nevertheless we are in serious shortfall for the present moment and going into the summer months facing very strong headwinds. We would very much appreciate if you would prayerfully consider how turnaround might indeed be accomplished and that the Lord would set our feet upon a rock financially speaking. Please pray for Victor, our chief financial officer, Louanne, our development officer, and all who work in this.

Thanks be to God for his greatness, his goodness, and his mercy. In Jesus name.

In Christ,
Jeremy Bell
