CHAT

SeniorsCarey Institute has created the Centre for Healthy Aging Transitions (CHAT) to facilitate faith-based discussions and resource creation around the issue of healthy aging and changes in life circumstances.

CHAT’s ministries will:

  • Provide resourcing opportunities for individuals, church leaders and pastors through educational and dialogue events on aging that recover the core values of the biblical teaching. These resources will also address the current church and societal/cultural concerns in order to meet the ministry/mission opportunities and challenges of the aging boomer generation.
  • Commit to helping others find the necessary resources for all the varied transitions experienced on the journey of aging through a website and other social media.
  • Mobilize a transformative movement committed to engaging maturing adults and promoting the awareness that aging is a time of growth and value in becoming contributing elders for Christian service and mission.

For more information, go to the CHAT website or  contact Myrna Sears, VP Carey Institute and Director of Distributed Learning at msears@carey-edu.ca.
