Mentoring and Spiritual Friendship

There continues to be an overwhelming need amongst women to find deeper heart connections with other women. Life is just too hard to go it alone and as we have become more transient and less connected to our nuclear families, there is a growing need for people to speak into our lives at many levels. Learning to be intentional in relationships is the focus of this two-day experience. You can request the manual from Faye Reynolds, or book the training event at

Courses – “Gender and Hope: Recovering God’s Dream for Humanity”. This course is 14 ½ hour sessions and is available on line upon request. If you can get four or more people who would like to study the Biblical response to women in ministry, contact Esther Myrna Sears

Bible Study Materials – Each fall, Women in Focus produces a Bible study that can be used for any small group gathering of women or men and women.

The Great Canadian Bible Study – Each January, we participate in an annual Bible study with women across Canada as part of a fundraising project for Canadian Baptist Ministries. The study materials are provided for free, but we ask each participant to donate a Toonie or more toward our mission project. Plan for 2017 now as we look at the story of Tamar together.

The 2017 edition of the Great Canadian Bible Study is Tamar, The Righteous.  You can take part by going to the Women in Focus Blog.

From 2016 – 2018 the funds raised from across Canada will go toward the Women’s Literacy Project of the Canadian Baptist Ministries, helping women in Rwanda and the DRCongo learn to read.

Mission Projects – We continue to support Guardians of Hope/Kenya with retreat offerings and church projects. We would encourage you to sponsor a mission event to raise funds for helping women and children affected by HIV/AIDS.

Monthly e-letters – Short devotionals are sent out monthly via e-mail to women who request it.  It currently has a readership of about 400 women.  To join this network, contact
