Dear friends, In light of Health Canada’s recommendations to mitigate the spread of Covid-19 in Canada, the planned BLTS/Ascent reunion is postponed until further notice. We will reach out with a new invitation and new dates at some time in the future. Please feel free to share this new information with other alumni. Registration fees already paid will be fully refunded by the CBWC Calgary Head Office.

 

You have probably read a lot of emails alerting you to changes being made in light of Covid-19, emails about enhanced cleaning and free delivery and the importance of hand washing and not touching your face. All of those are welcome and wise. May we remind you of something in addition? We serve and follow a Great King, Lord of All. Our King Jesus has always been faithful and has always been good. He was faithful to Abraham, Moses, David and the prophets. He was faithful to the first disciples and the early church. He has been faithful over 2000 years of church history. And in our own lives, we have seen and praised Him and sung with glad hearts, “Great is your faithfulness…” Looking back over the course of our lives, we are aware of His gracious care and compassion and comfort. God is our everpresent help. He is close and will not leave us alone. He heals, calms, encourages and challenges. May we all fix our eyes on Jesus. And may we join the Spirit at work in our communities in bringing the hope of our great King as we allow His light to shine through us during this unsettling time.
