Dear friends,
As we prepare to gather together at the Banff Pastors and Spouses Conference, I pray that our time together will be filled with rest and renewal, and that you leave motivated and spiritually recharged. As we are led in worship by Andrea Tisher, in study of Scripture by Iain Provan, and taught by Anna Robbins, Don Hutchinson, Sam Breakey, and Matt Wilkinson, may you experience deep encouragement and powerful insights into Christ, His people, and this culture.
Let me share with you a few things that we will be experiencing:
We often get feedback asking for more space for soul care and prayer at Banff. In response, this year we invite you into a room that we have designated for rest, renewal and refreshment. There will be hot and cold drinks available as well as space and guides or stations for you to spend some quiet time with God should you desire to. Prayer hosts will be available at certain times to pray both with you and for you if you ask. More information will be available at our registration desk.
Our Hospitality Room is always a great place to gather together at any time of the day. It will be open as usual and is ably managed and resourced by Dave and Glenys Holten. We appreciate their service and dedication.
Get some early entries into our Social Media competition by posting comments and photos to Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #CBWCbanff2016. There are exciting prizes to be won. More details will be revealed at Banff.
Our Breakout Sessions include a Reflective Prayer Walk and a chance to hear from our staff and guests; new stories of what is happening in our churches across Western Canada, as well as the Carey Institute. On Wednesday afternoon we will be offering Roundtable Conversations on a variety of subjects from Youth and Young Adult Ministry to Missions and Creative Arts.
We look forward to welcoming you to Banff this year and trust it will be a time of renewal, reflection, and rest.
Warmly,
In Christ,
Jeremy Bell
