It was very moving to experience the hospitality and kindnesses of FBC Red Deer and to admire the wonderful facility that they have in Red Deer. It is also important to recall with thanksgiving the faithfulness of God in this very trying last couple of years in Red Deer and to anticipate God’s faithfulness in the rebirth of this church in the weeks and months ahead. The Central Alberta churches were unique and a breath of fresh air in that we have not received to date a written church response that was strongly critical of the denomination. While it was unusual to not anticipate or hear about some concerns before we got to the listening sessions, the fact is, the listening and covenanting sessions are designed to hear frank and open and honest feedback. In some areas people get round to asking tough questions and saying how they really feel, which is a good thing. Please pray for the following comments and submissions.
Warmly,
In Christ,
