Last week we looked at half the Manitoba responses in the Listening Sessions that took place March 15th. In the afternoon of that same day we gathered with the Northern and West Manitoba churches; 10 participated. This group is a very strong association with strong support for one another, excellent ministry opportunities and praxis in many of its communities. The region has strong attachment to Carey Theological College and has been an excellent example of long distance, distributive, church-based education. Flin Flon shared about evangelism in nearby communities (which resonated with the conversion stories from Filipino Evangelical Winnipeg earlier in the day). Stories of a variety of ministries were forthcoming. What I was particularly impressed by is the rich, varied and fruitful work of these churches. I would love that more of their story and God’s faithfulness was heard, shared and celebrated… God is doing great things in the midst of these churches.
Here are the commitments for this year.
Warmly,
In Christ,
Jeremy Bell
