SERVE provides an opportunity for youth from across all Canadian Baptist churches to join together to serve a community in Western Canada. This short mission trip gives youth a chance to meet each other, form friendships and make a difference. This year, our youth will go to Flin Flon, a community of 6,000 in Northern Manitoba to paint, clean parks, do environmental projects and generally do whatever needs to be done. SERVE helps teens realize they can make a difference right here in Canada. It makes a statement that our own communities matter.
This outstanding ministry has an extensive history with our teens, churches and outreach to the places they have visited. Much good work has been done. Over the last five years 45 out of our 170 churches and over 650 teens and their leaders have been involved with the SERVE/BWA summer project. Great community has been experienced and grown amongst them.
