Board Bytes

The CBWC Board met in person in late September at the Calgary office. Our first evening together was a meal shared with the entire CBWC staff. It was a joyful evening to commit ourselves to the Lord in our shared ministry. This was our first Board meeting with our new Executive Minister, Clint Mix, and we appreciated his extensive and wise work among us already. We received his report, and those of the Executive Staff. We were thrilled that Kurios' enrolment was full this year! We also heard an extended report from the President of Carey, Colin Godwin. We continued to refine the major agenda items for the 2027 Assembly, and we also began the early stages of a framework for discerning the Lord's direction for our association's future ministry. Our board will meet again in November and January.

On another note, our CBWC Nominations Committee is beginning its work of discerning possible CBWC Board nominees that will be brought to the 2027 Assembly for approval. Though the nominations committee will be busy collecting possible names through various channels, we also invite our CWBC constituency to suggest possible names for the committee to consider. If you would like to do so, please contact Josh Goetz at joshuagoetz6@gmail.com, or ask your regional minister to pass suggestions along to the committee. Suggestions are welcome until the end of January. Note: Nominations from the Assembly floor are permitted by our bylaws as well, though suggestions ahead of time are naturally preferred.
