Earlier this fall, our staff and members of the CBWC Board gathered for LAUNCH, a three-part opportunity to connect with one another and with our new Executive Minister, Clint Mix.
LAUNCH 1 brought Executive Staff together for a retreat at Kingsfold. LAUNCH 2 welcomed almost our entire staff team together at the CBWC office. And LAUNCH 3—well, as Clint put it, we may have stumbled into it.
Our Board had planned to have supper together. Our staff had planned to do the same. So, Clint and Jeff, CBWC President, wondered whether it might be best to simply gather around the table together. In a Facebook post reflecting on the day, Clint wrote, "There were people meeting one another in person for the first time. Our Board had an opportunity to connect relationally with the staff they serve, and our staff had the privilege of sitting around tables with those entrusted to 'direct and protect' the mission of our organization."
He went on to say, "We have different functions within this family of churches, but we serve the same God and participate in the same mission—the reconciliation of all things."
